With that said, I will continue where I left off last time. Get ready to hear more of my crazy stories..
Leipzig Attempt #2
So I head back to Leipzig after my adventures in Dresden, because my friend Mariah lives there (she's also with CBYX this year), and I wanted to visit her. When I got to the Bahnhof (subway station), I started to look for Mariah. She doesn't have a phone, so it was impossible to contact her. But we had agreed on the West Enterance...and unfortunately, I didn't see her there. Finally, I got too hungry so I bought a pretzel and bread, then just sat outside. After 30 minutes, Mariah shows up with her friends--one German, and two Koreans. What?! There are Koreans in Germany! It just reminded me of my hometown all over again, because there are tons of Koreans at my school in the US.
Mariah: OH. You're here!
Me: Yeah, you said West Enterance.
Mariah: I didn't mean this one! We've been looking for you for 40 minutes.
Me: -.- What took you so long?
Mariah: Well, I told my friends that you were short and Asian, and I showed them a picture of you, but in that picture you had glasses on.
Me: ::FACEPALM::
Mariah: Yeah, so Grace came to me and said, "I think I found her, but she doesn't have glasses."
Dear Lord, thank goodness they found me, hahahaha :D
After getting picked up, we went to a Chinese/Japanese fast food restaurant. I forgot what we got (probably noodles and chicken), but because I wasn't so hungry (due to the pretzel and bread), Mariah and I split a dish. Such an Asian thing to do :) Every time we go to Asian restaurants, I always make sure to get chopsticks... because I am too lazy to eat German style, with German utensils. Especially when it comes to noodles, I just can't stand it. It would probably take me an hour just to finish my lunch. But that's just my problem, because I have super clumsy hands. Spinning up noodles on a fork, transfering it onto a spoon, and then making sure that that is the perfect mouthful (aka where no noodles would have to be slurped or hanging out of the mouth) is just too hard for me. I would always have to switch hands, because my left hand is too uncoordinated to put anything into my mouth or to spin up noodles with a fork.
After eating, Mariah, Teresa, and I went to the Body Shop. Personally, I don't like scented lotions and stuff, but I decided to go anyways just for the heck of it. I think Body Shop rips people off in Europe, but they were having a buy 2 get 1 free promotion, so I ended up buying something so that Mariah could have the 2 lotions she wanted.
Coming out of the Body Shop, we saw one of those stands selling Lebkuchen hearts, and we both decided to get one just so we could look like crazy Americans. They were pink with white frosting, and said, "Ich liebe dich" on them. I swear everyone thought we were lesbians. Hahaha, we got so many looks.
Then we went home. And as luck would have it (again...), her host brother, Clemens, got the chicken pox. We were both scared that we would get the chicken pox, so we stayed in our room (Mariah's room xD). For dinner, we went out again, to an amazing sushi place. It was one of those all you can eat places with a spinning thing...Mariah and I sat there for probably 3 hours. Lol, we totally made that place broke. Before we went in, I told Mariah not to eat the rice balls or drink too much Cola, because that would just make her full really fast. She replied, "Yeah, I know, Grace told me that too!" Hahaha.
Us Asians.
Us tricky, cheap Asians xD
We also stayed for a really long time just so we could get those desserts and delicious roasted chicken that come out towards the end. ;)
100% Recommended. Trust me, I'm Asain, and this place is opened by Asians. You can't go wrong! :) |
After we finished eating, we hung out at the mall and ate..ice cream. Yeah, we are huge eaters :D
The next day, we went out to visit my Chinese friend who was studying in Leipzig, and we did a quick tour of the city. Then we went back home, because Mariah wasn't feeling too well. But before that, we went to the REWE and got a ton of junk food. Then we went back home and watched Korean dramas. Yep. Great day nontheless!
