Conference Call Schedule
Below you’ll find a schedule of the conference calls that are required for AFS CBYX students. We are also offering an optional call for parents. Attendance at the mandatory conference calls is a required component of your participation as a CBYX student. With the first mandatory call starting the week after next, some of you may have a previously scheduled conflicting obligation. For this reason we can be somewhat flexible, but we do highly value these calls and ask you to appreciate their importance in preparing you to travel, be safe, and succeed abroad. Should you experience a timing conflict, please see the frequently asked questions section further on in this message. You may have homework assignments to complete in advance of any given call. Homework instructions will be sent in advance of the call, and will require fewer than two hours of work to complete.

Schedule of Optional AFS CBYX Conference Call
Parents of Students New to Traveling Abroad
Topics
Parents may be interested in attending this call if your student is the first person in your family to take a significant trip abroad. Call facilitators will go into depth about what to expect while your student is abroad, and there will be plenty of time for questions. Parents of all Outbound Sponsored Programs (including YES Abroad, CBYX, and NSLI-Y) will be invited to join the call.
