In a few days, I get to go somewhere wonderfully warm again. Yayyy! Just felt like it was time I finally go somewhere. In the meantime, I'll be trying to get work done...
1. Getting a head start with my readings. Unfortunately, that's what you have to do when you read slow.
2. Editing my brother's admissions essays (My favorite type of essay is officially the narrative. Authentic narrative. Sometimes it boggles my mind that great people can't get their thoughts and feelings on paper. Like why? What happened? The person is great. Why didn't it translate...? I enjoy making it translate. It's like interpretation without the time factor, you know?)
3. Applying to summer jobs. Doing my favorite thing (but teaching is all of my favorite jobs meshed into one :D), with my favorite type of people: little humans. As my mom says..."When will you start hanging out with people your age?" I don't know. I just really don't know. Maybe when I can transplant an adorable mind into someone? But actually, everyone makes me laugh. People are cute. I'm just a paradox; who knows.
4. READING FOR FUNN. Wheee. Or, shall I say, audiobooking for fun...
5. Learning for fun. But that's a constant for me. I need my mind to keep me company. And my friends. And my family.
6. Shopping for needs and fun. I need cleaning supplies. And that new-ish Marie Kondo book. I actually really wanted to be a janitor when I was little. And I still kind of want to be a janitor. LOVE organized spaces. Love architecture, too :)
Random Thoughts...my stream of consciousness...
Living the no shortcut life...here we go again.
I can't wait to leave for the Everglades and Bahamas.
Warm weather.
By the way, it is 10 C (50 F) in Braunschweig, Germany right now. How/why is that the case? It's 1 C here in D.C. Sigh. Warm weather, don't you just love to escape me.
And as Christmas rolls around, how can I not be thankful for all the grace and mercy I've been given this year. God is so faithful regardless of what happens. He always teaches me to give what I have and not worry because he will give back to you what you gave...and more. He also teaches me that while family and friends and great to have around, He is the center of my life, and with Him, I can stay replenished forever. Friends and family can make me joyful, and I hope to give them as much as they gave me. But Christ is all that I will ever need. I am so thankful for everything I've received--just being alive is a wonderful thing.
